BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS — Jumper, a prominent consumer application utilized for moving and trading assets onchain, has officially announced its plans to transition into an independent company. Alongside this corporate restructuring, the platform has revealed its first-ever token sale for the JUMP token, which will be conducted through Legion.
The strategic evolution comes at a significant milestone for the platform, which has successfully processed more than $40 billion in lifetime volume to date. Serving over 100,000 monthly active users, Jumper currently holds the position of the leading aggregator by bridging volume, commanding a market share that exceeds 15 percent. Having built robust distribution channels through cross-chain trading, the enterprise is now setting its sights on a much broader objective: transforming into the comprehensive super-app for onchain finance.
The overarching vision for the platform is to create a unified destination where users can seamlessly swap, bridge, trade perpetual futures, access tokenized stocks, interact with alternative real-world assets, discover yield opportunities, and eventually engage with any asset available across the decentralized ecosystem.
Reflecting on the platform’s trajectory and future goals, Marko Jurina, CEO of Jumper, emphasized how the landscape of decentralized finance has evolved beyond simple asset transfers.
"Bridging was the starting point for Jumper, and we’ve grown into the #1 aggregator by bridging volume with more than 15% market share," said Marko Jurina, CEO of Jumper. "As more financial assets move onchain, the opportunity gets much bigger than bridging. We want Jumper to be the application users open whenever they want to trade, invest, or move value onchain."
Expanding Into Advanced Trading and Real-World Assets
To achieve its ambition of becoming an all-encompassing onchain financial hub, Jumper has already begun branching out into advanced trading segments and real-world assets. The next major product introduction on the roadmap is Jumper Perps, a feature designed to aggregate various perpetual futures venues into a single, cohesive trading interface. This upcoming release is slated to go live in the coming weeks.
Company leadership notes that each new product introduction is engineered to create an additional source of volume and revenue for the ecosystem. At the same time, these expansions provide existing users with compelling incentives to consolidate their diverse onchain activities within a single application, reducing the friction of navigating fragmented protocols.

Originally incubated within LI.FI, Jumper is scheduled to be formally carved out as a standalone venture supported by dedicated capital, independent leadership, and a distinct operational roadmap. Moving forward, Jumper and LI.FI intend to approach the expansion of onchain finance from complementary sides of the technological stack. LI.FI will continue to focus on orchestration infrastructure, while Jumper operates as the consumer-facing application layer.
A Token-First Approach to Ownership and Capital Formation
The upcoming token sale hosted on Legion marks the very first time Jumper has sought external capital. Proceeds generated from the token sale are earmarked to accelerate comprehensive product development, drive user acquisition, and expand distribution capabilities across Jumper’s rapidly growing suite of financial products.
Following the completion of the fundraising process, the JUMP token is planned to launch independently. Notably, the structure of this capital raise highlights a fundamental philosophy regarding how Jumper intends to align ownership and value creation among its stakeholders. The company has chosen not to conduct a separate equity financing round alongside the JUMP token launch. This deliberate decision ensures that users, project contributors, and investors all hold the exact same asset class.
Detailing the rationale behind this unique token-first model, Jurina explained that traditional corporate structures often create divisions between equity holders and token holders, a paradigm he believes the blockchain industry needs to outgrow.
"We believe the token should be the only way to have ownership and exposure to the value being created by Jumper," Jurina added. "There shouldn’t be one group holding equity and another group holding a token. JUMP is intended to be the only way users, contributors, and investors participate in Jumper’s growth, so the value created by Jumper is aligned with tokenholders."
Jurina further elaborated on the broader implications of this governance and economic design for the wider cryptocurrency sector, arguing that decentralized projects should genuinely empower their active communities.
"Getting here has meant pushing against a lot of incumbent processes and thinking that still treat the token as something separate from the underlying business," Jurina noted. "We think that model needs to change. If crypto is serious about creating new forms of ownership, the people who use, support, and build these businesses should be able to participate directly in the value they help create. We want Jumper to be at the forefront of that shift. We believe token-first ownership should become an industry standard, and we want to help lead that change."
